This story could be about a place in the Bailiwick which is special to you, somewhere you might go to relax and appreciate Nature’s beauty. Or, it might be a place further afield that you’ve been lucky enough to visit or have always dreamed of going to. You could even use your imagination to create a fantasy setting and characters which capture this feeling and/or demonstrate just how important Nature is to you.
Perhaps the place you describe is under threat or needs protection — perhaps your story will act as a warning as to our role in caring for Nature. The choice is yours.
We want to hear you explore your passion for Nature in your own words. Think about the following factors.
What does this place look, sound and smell like and how would it make us feel to be there?
If there are characters, who are they and what are what is their relationship with Nature and your story?
Shape your short story so that it is vivid, original and memorable to impress the judges. We’d like to hear a story which inspires us and reconnects us with our love for Nature.
