Moonlight shone, the wind blew and trees waved. Wolves howled and owls hooted. Jack and Ken set off on their adventure back to camp.

The night was cold and dark. Animals were looking for prey, some even hiding from the predators. The forest deep and humid, ready for some action. The air was as cold as a freezer. Ken and Jack find their equipment to try and escape the forest that holds things that you would not expect. “Jack. Let's go, I got all the things we need,” whispered Ken to Jack. The boys set off on their adventure to get to camp. Jack set off and so did Ken. Ken said to Jack “Be careful, try not to step onto dried leaves or we could be spotted.” They both slowly move forward as running could attract “The Forbidden”.

“The Forbidden” are monsters that were banned from cities as they caused a threat. In front of Ken and Jack were the ancient temple that ancient civilisation used to use for praying. “This means we are halfway through the forest,” said Jack. Five minutes later they both heard the screeching of something, that meant it was closing in to daylight. “The Forbidden are coming,” whispered Ken as he crouched down. The boys slowly sneaked past the home of “The Forbidden” trying not to get caught. Ken accidentally stepped onto a dried up leaf and made a crunching noise. Jack quickly jumped and pushed him into the trunk of a tree. What would happen? Would he die? Is he going to make it out alive? So close to camp, yet so far…
