Lottie’s Secret

Eliza H
St Martin’s School

Under the kitchen cupboard there was a silver, glittery envelope. Lottie tried to grab the sparkling envelope but sadly her arms were too short to reach. The envelope glimmered and Lottie was excited to see what was in it. Sneakily she looked around the house for something to help her get it. She didn't want anyone to know about it. She found a rolling pin and stretched out and finally got it.

As she opened the letter a cloud of pink smoke filled the room when it cleared Lottie noticed that she had SHRUNK! She didn't know what to do. She walked around trying to find the letter when she found it, she tried to read it, but it was too big and it was in a different language. She cried, and her tears fell onto it. Suddenly, the letter began to shake and shrink. The words changed into English and Lottie could read it.

Dear Lottie,

This is a special message, and you must keep it secret. There is a magical little door that will appear when you say "Little door. Little door. Show me more." When you go through the door you will arrive at a magical sweet shop. You can take as many treats as you want. When you want to leave you say the rhyme again and you will go home and turn big again. The treats will turn big too!

The Magical Sweet Unicorn

Lottie said the rhyme and she got lots of sweets and she shared them with her friends. She visited the magical sweet shop every day. She always shared with her friends. She happily ate sweets for the rest of her life.
