One day, Cole Palmer was practicing his skills at the Chelsea Football club. He was counting his keepy- ups, when suddenly he heard a football pop! His friend Reece James was playing, when the ball exploded. Cole ran to check all was okay, but Reece had a nasty cut on his left arm. He needed to go to the hospital immediately. When the ambulance drove off, Cole found an envelope for Reece on the floor. “Oh no!” thought Cole Palmer. “He has forgotten his invite to the Ballon D’or party. He won’t get his award!”

Cole Palmer decided to deliver it to the hospital, but he couldn’t’t drive. He was too young. He would have to deliver the invite on foot by 6pm when the party starts. So, Cole Palmer hops on a bike. He starts to pedal and presses the button for a turbo boost. Suddenly the bike snaps in half. “Oh no! I’ll need to find another way!” said Cole.

Cole runs to the skateboard shop and buys a skateboard. He skates along the road, when he rolls over a speed bump. The wheel flies off and hits a policeman on the head. Cole was scared. He said, “I am really sorry, but I need to keep running”.

Cole is running towards the hospital when he finds a homeless man sitting in the street. He feels worried. “ Are you hungry?” said Cole. The man nodded sadly. So, they walked together to KFC for a chicken dinner.

Cole ran the rest of the way to the hospital, as fast as he could. His friend Reece was in the waiting room. Cole gave him the invite. “Thanks Cole. You’re my best friend,” said Reece. Cole and Reece go to the party and both win awards.
