Judge’s comments

As the moon raised slowly into the sky, the luminescent party light coiled around the vibrant red train like vicious snakes. Just as Pablo the penguin had finished putting on the final decoration, Perry the polar bear arrived with a wrapped gift clutched in his soft white paw. Smiling, Pablo took the precious gift and carefully placed it in the train. Soaring, Osmond the owl glided down from the thick clouds carrying a small brown parcel, perched on his back was Archie the arctic fox swishing his snowy white tail. With a tremendous splash, Sharron the seal and Wally the walrus emerged from the crystal blue ocean, brightly wrapped parcels cradled in their flippers.

Excited, pleased, inspired the party guests stepped onto the extravagant train. Happily, Pablo pressed the switch and the entire train came to life!

The party lights sparkled like magical gems as they curled around the amazing train. All of the sudden the sound of chugging filled their ears and smoke glided out of the train up into the moonlit sky. All of the animals sat down at the immaculately decorated table to dig into their feast of delicious sweet treats. Suddenly, they heard an ear-splitting creek and the train came to a halt. Swiftly, the animals climbed down onto the tracks and saw that one of the wheels had fallen off! Luckily, Perry the polar bear’s dad was a mechanic and taught him how to fix trains. Sharan passed Perry a rusty spanner which he used to fix the wheel back on. Relieved the animals climbed back onto the beautifully decorated, pastel red train; sat down to eat their delicious iced buns. Slowly the penguin party train stopped; all the animals climbed off as the moon slowly crawled over the horizon.
