Peter’s Party

Noah Van Der Linden
Year 8 St Sampson’s School

The party was boring, it was full of old ladies yapping about the cost of bread and milk and how much busier town was these days.

I needed to liven it up, I had a plan.

The parcel had arrived a few days before, I had hidden it under my bed from mum, I had to be very careful not to disturb the contents or they would make too much noise.

Sniggering to myself I stuffed the parcel up my jumper and headed downstairs.

As soon as I walked in the room all the old biddies started pinching my cheeks telling me how much I’d grown or how much I looked like my older brother.

Mum asked me to help with the food, it was my time to strike! I ripped open the box, tipped the contents into the bowls of crisps and salad and headed into the party.

All of the old dears started to dig into food and moments later I heard the screams.

I poked my head through the door and let out a laugh. “PETER” shouted mum “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”

Aunty Flo was running around the lounge, old Doris was jumping up and down and Betty was standing on a chair.

I’ve never laughed so much! Needless to say I will be giving Sendingspidersinthepost.com a good review.

That will teach them for pinch.
