Luke and the Street Clean Crew

Jake Donaldson
Year Le Rondin School

Luke was so excited to go to Guernsey to see his cousins for his birthday party at St Martins. Luke arrived at the hotel that he was staying at. When he was walking along Forest Road, he saw a cute cat by Le Rondin School gates, so he rushed to the gates to rescue the cat. As he got closer, he saw it was choking on a coca cola can.

Luke rushed back to his hotel to tell people that the rubbish was harming the animals under the sea and on land; it's very sad to see species of animals dying from the littlest of things. It is the biggest problem on the planet right now. They were so shocked and the people at the hotel said how foolish they had been. We are going to get people to recycle rubbish and call it The Street Clean Crew.

Luke got The Street Clean Crew and they started to clean up the streets and neighbourhoods. It took the crew all day to clean up the rubbish. They put the correct things in recycling bins and made a massive rubbish ball statue to show everybody how much rubbish there was that couldn’t be recycled!

When they were finished Luke invited everyone to a party to celebrate The Street Clean Crew and his birthday. Everyone was very happy to clean and make animals happy too, Luke and his best friend Slick-Dude took the cat to ‘Vets-for-Pets’ to make sure it was okay and it was! They then found out that the cat had no owner so they both adopted the cat and took it on adventures to clean up different parts of the world and to make a statement that rubbish should not be thrown into the sea or onto the street.
