My perch

Girl

I sit on my perch the wind ruffling my hair, nature seems so calm; not like me. My insides are churning, my rage is boiling, why! Why! Mum always ruins everything, but this time, this is a new low! She wants to break UP WITH DAD!

I lay down looking upwards at the crystal blue sky, birds flying by on their strong wings; not knowing that one of them was looking at me.

Bird

I peer down at that little girl bright red, wondering” what happened "to her. I always feel like if I concentrate on the nature around me it takes my mind off everything, but now it is being tore down and replaced with weird looking stone blocks which are huge, bigger than me.

Girl

When I see that bird go away it is like a wave cool and calming washes over me clearing my mind of the worries; now the sun is spreading the glow all over me and now I go out there and bask in the glorious light.

Girl

My family have started to go to therapy sessions to help use and it seems very weird but every time we go, I can see that little silver bird looking so very light and beautiful on the windowsill, my little bird.

Bird

I follow that family to a lovely cottage every week and the nature surrounds them, and they seem to be happier, well my girl seems to enjoy it. I will go there for as long as she will always.

Always and forever,

Day and night,

Just to see her shine bright.

That is where I will stay on my perch until she notices me, though I have a feeling nature will bring us back together again; that is what I hope and wish.
